Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken to the marinade and let it soak for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator, or up to 24 hours for best results.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Discard the used marinade.
  3. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side, turning once, until fully cooked and caramelized.
Serving
  1. Serve the Huli Huli Chicken over cooked rice with grilled vegetables on the side.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. Huli Huli chicken stays fresh for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or frying pan; add chicken broth if dry.
