  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Introduces sharp tang.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Sweetens and gives a glaze.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Brings warmth and aroma.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Provides spice.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Adds earthy flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Offers subtle herbal note.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic, black pepper, salt, oregano, and thyme in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Place chicken in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it’s well coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours for better flavor.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Let the chicken sit for a few minutes to reach room temperature.
  4. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

Always taste your marinade before using it to adjust flavors. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F for tender chicken. This marinade also works well with pork or vegetables.
