  • 1 tablespoon honey Adjust the amount based on your taste preference.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Fresh herbs are even better if you have them.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Try smoked paprika for a different twist.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Always taste and adjust to your liking.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, honey, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Breathe in the lovely aroma as you mix.
  2. Place the chicken in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the chicken is well-coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve family-style; slice the chicken into thick pieces. Pair with seasonal vegetables, salad, rice, or creamy mashed potatoes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days, reheating with a splash of chicken broth to keep the chicken juicy.
