Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper Freshly ground is recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use low-sodium for reduced salt intake.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Can be substituted with hoisin sauce or omitted.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
Vegetables
  • 1/4 cup bell peppers, sliced Any color of bell pepper can be used.
  • 1/4 cup onion, sliced
Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • to taste salt Add according to preference.
  • to garnish green onions

Method
 

Marinating
  1. In a bowl, marinate chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, garlic, and ginger for about 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated chicken and sauté until cooked through.
  3. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For variety, try using chicken thighs or adding additional vegetables like broccoli or snap peas. A squeeze of lime juice enhances the flavors beautifully.
