  • 1 oz ranch seasoning mix Choose your favorite brand.
  • 3 cloves garlic Smash first, then mince finely.
  • ½ cup finely diced onion Mild onion or sweet onion works best.
  • ½ cup finely shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar gives more bite.
  • 2–3 tablespoons oil Vegetable or avocado oil recommended.
Topping Suggestions
  • burger buns or sandwich rolls Toasted buns add texture.
  • lettuce, tomato, pickles Keep toppings varied for customization.
  • extra ranch dressing or cheese slices Offer extra ranch for dipping.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, bread crumbs, ranch seasoning, garlic, onion, and shredded cheddar. Mix just until combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 6–8 equal portions and shape into round, flattened patties about ½ to ¾ inch thick.
  3. Place patties on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat 2–3 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the patties in batches, 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serving
  1. Serve warm on buns with toppings, allowing everyone to customize their own burger.

Notes

Store cooked patties in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. For freezing, place on a baking sheet until firm, then transfer to a freezer bag.
