Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Look for well-trimmed breasts for even cooking.
  • 8 oz linguine pasta This type of pasta holds the sauce well.
  • 1/2 cup cowboy butter You can find pre-made cowboy butter at stores or make your own by blending butter with spices.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Use heavy cream for a rich, smooth sauce.
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper Adjust the amount depending on your family's heat tolerance.
  • to taste none salt and black pepper Season to taste and enhance the flavors.
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese Freshly grated cheese makes a big difference in taste.
  • to garnish none fresh parsley This adds a splash of color and freshness.

Method

Cook the Linguine
  1. Cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Remember, slightly undercooking the pasta helps it absorb the sauce better.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, melt cowboy butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken strips, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream; stir to combine.
  4. Add the crushed red pepper and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes.
Combine and Serve
  1. Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well coated.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with parmesan cheese and parsley.

Notes

Always taste your sauce before serving to ensure the seasoning is just right. Don't hesitate to add more cheese if you love that richness! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat on the stovetop.
